Instructor Development Course

Black Frog Divers offers the PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC), a professional-level program designed to transform PADI Divemasters and other qualified individuals into PADI Open Water Scuba Instructors. This intensive course focuses on honing your teaching abilities, deepening your dive theory knowledge, and mastering the PADI educational system. You will learn to effectively teach PADI courses, manage student divers, and conduct all levels of recreational diver training. Successful completion of the IDC is the essential prerequisite for attending the PADI Instructor Examination (IE), the final step towards earning your PADI Instructor certification.

The waters around the center offer excellent conditions for dive training throughout much of the year. While the air temperature can fluctuate from a cooler 14.3°C in January to a warm 28.7°C in August, the sea temperature remains inviting, averaging 20°C. Rainfall is minimal in the summer months, with only 0.2 mm recorded in July, making it an ideal time for extensive open water training. This consistent environment supports the development of confident and capable instructors.

Black Frog Divers is a multi-certified dive center, recognized by PADI, BSAC, CMAS, NAUI, and SSI, indicating a broad commitment to diver education standards. The center conducts its training in multiple languages, including German, English, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese, and Russian, ensuring accessibility for a diverse range of international students. As a prerequisite for the IDC, candidates must hold a PADI Divemaster certification or equivalent. Participants are expected to have their own complete set of scuba equipment, though rental options may be available.
