The waters around Nerja provide a dynamic training ground, with sea temperatures averaging 18.6°C, offering comfortable conditions for skill development. While specific dive sites for rescue scenarios are chosen based on conditions, the general marine environment is known for its clarity and diverse underwater topography. The climate data indicates that May through October offers the warmest sea temperatures, with air temperatures reaching up to 28.8°C in July and August, making these months particularly suitable for extensive open water training and practice.

To enroll in the PADI Rescue Diver course, you must hold a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification (or equivalent) and have completed an Emergency First Response (EFR) or equivalent CPR and first aid course within the past two years.
