Open Water Diver

Atlantia Dive Center offers the SSI Open Water Diver course, your essential first step into the world of scuba diving. This program is meticulously designed to build a solid foundation in diving theory and practical skills. You will learn essential techniques, including equipment management and buoyancy control, through a combination of digital or in-person theory sessions at their Leganés facility, followed by hands-on practice in a controlled pool environment. This structured approach ensures you gain confidence and proficiency before progressing to open water.

Upon successful completion of confined water training, your journey continues with four open water dives. These dives are conducted in real-world conditions, allowing you to apply your newly acquired skills under the direct supervision of experienced SSI-certified instructors. The course culminates in your certification as an Open Water Diver, enabling you to explore the underwater world independently with a buddy to a maximum depth of 18 meters (60 feet). This certification is the fundamental prerequisite for all advanced diving courses.
