The Boat Handling specialty course at LSAC is meticulously designed to empower members with the essential skills for safely operating Rigid Hulled Inflatable Boats (RIBs), commonly used for diving expeditions. This specialized training is particularly vital for those aspiring to skipper the club's own RIB, 'Chilly Dip', or any similar small marine craft. The curriculum comprehensively covers pre-departure checks, engine operation and basic maintenance, fundamental navigation techniques, secure mooring strategies, and crucial emergency procedures at sea.
