The PADI Instructor Development Course at DSDIVERS MADRID takes a certified Divemaster through the training required to sit the PADI Instructor Examination (IE). The theory component is available as elearning. The practical part covers teaching confined water skills, open water dives and the presentation standards assessed at the IE.
The centre also offers the IDC Staff Instructor level for instructors who want to assist Course Directors during IDC programmes. Both the Instructor and IDC Staff Instructor courses have elearning options listed in the product catalogue.
Madrid is an unusual city to train as a dive instructor — most candidates assume they need to be by the coast. DSDIVERS MADRID makes the case that the theoretical and pool components can be done inland, with open water and sea sessions organised through their network, including the Gran Canaria centre.
