The Night Diver specialty was added to the DSDIVERS MADRID catalogue in 2026. Night diving changes the experience completely — torches, different fauna, navigation by compass and landmarks instead of visual references. The course covers planning a night dive, communication signals with torches, and managing light in low-visibility conditions.
For a Madrid-based centre, running night dives requires coordinating travel to water. The course is listed as a standalone specialty, suitable for Open Water certified divers and above. It also counts as one of the optional adventure dives within the Advanced Open Water programme.
