SSI Divemaster

The Divemaster programme at Brothers Diving is the entry point into diving as a profession. It begins with the Dive Guide and Science of Diving programmes and progresses to the full SSI Divemaster qualification, which authorises graduates to guide certified divers and assist instructors in teaching courses.

Brothers Diving's three founders — Myles, Mario, and Alessandra — are all working SSI and PADI instructors who came through the professional route themselves, across centres in Malta, Australia, Spain, and South East Asia. The mentorship available at a centre run by active instructors is more direct than at larger operations where professionals are less accessible.

The programme suits people who are serious about making a career change into the diving industry. Brothers Diving describes it as the first step toward becoming a dive instructor, building on the skills and knowledge gained through recreational courses to reach a standard where you can take responsibility for other divers in the water.
