Open Water Diver

The H2o Scuba Center offers the foundational Open Water Diver certification, your gateway to exploring the underwater world. This globally recognized program, accredited by PADI and SSI, equips you with the essential skills and knowledge for scuba diving. The curriculum is divided into three main segments: theoretical knowledge development, confined water skill practice, and open water dives. Upon successful completion, you will be certified to dive independently to a maximum depth of 18 meters (60 feet), a standard for entry-level divers.

This course is designed for individuals aged 12 and above who are in good general health and possess basic swimming abilities. Prior diving experience is not required. You can choose to complete the knowledge development portion either online at your own pace or through classroom sessions at H2o Scuba Center. This flexibility allows you to tailor the learning experience to your schedule and preferred learning style. The center emphasizes a thorough understanding of dive theory before progressing to practical application.

Practical training begins in a controlled confined water environment, where you will master fundamental scuba skills under the direct supervision of experienced instructors. This phase is critical for building confidence and competence with your equipment and essential diving techniques. Following the confined water sessions, you will apply your newly acquired skills during four open water dives. These dives provide the opportunity to explore the underwater environment in real conditions, encountering marine life and discovering aquatic wonders. The instructors ensure a supportive learning atmosphere throughout this crucial phase.
