Cursusbeschrijving
The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course at Poggi Sub is your next step to expanding your underwater capabilities and exploring more of the marine world. This program is designed for certified Open Water Divers eager to gain confidence and enhance their diving skills. You will explore depths up to 30 meters, significantly increasing your experience envelope. Poggi Sub offers the flexibility to complete these crucial five training dives over a single weekend or spread them out, ensuring the credits are logged correctly in your diver's logbook.
This advanced certification requires you to hold a PADI Open Water Diver certification or an equivalent entry-level qualification. The course structure involves five supervised open water training dives. Two dives are mandatory: Deep Diving, which introduces you to the techniques for diving safely in deeper water, and Natural Navigation, focusing on using the environment and compass for orientation. The remaining three dives are elective, allowing you to tailor the course to your interests from a wide range of PADI specialties.
Specialty dive options available through Poggi Sub include Digital Underwater Photography, Underwater Biology, Dry Suit Diving, Enriched Air Nitrox, Search and Recovery, Multilevel Diving, and Wreck Diving, among others. This allows for personalized skill development, letting you focus on areas that genuinely excite you. Participants must possess their own complete set of diving equipment for the open water dives, though rental options are available at the dive sites for any missing items. Poggi Sub also provides a PADI digital e-learning kit as part of the course package.
A medical certificate for non-competitive sports activity, valid within one year, is required for participation. All participants are covered by insurance throughout the duration of the course. Completing the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is a prerequisite for further PADI training, such as the Rescue Diver course or various specialty certifications, opening doors to more challenging and rewarding diving experiences.
