Open Water Diver

The PADI Open Water Diver certification, offered by Aquamarin Tauchservice, provides the fundamental skills and knowledge for recreational diving, allowing you to explore underwater environments to a maximum depth of 18 meters. This comprehensive program is structured into five theory modules, five pool sessions for skill development, and four open water dives. Participants can progress through the theory material, which includes a textbook and DVD or digital version, at their own pace before attending concise review sessions at the dive center.

Pool sessions are designed to build confidence and proficiency in a controlled setting, covering essential diving techniques. Following mastery in the pool, students transition to open water dives, typically conducted in a nearby lake that simulates real diving conditions more closely than a pool. These dives are supervised by experienced instructors, ensuring that learned skills are applied effectively and safely in a natural environment. The course emphasizes preparation for real-world conditions.

Upon successful completion of the PADI Open Water Diver course, you will be globally recognized and able to rent dive equipment, join diving excursions, and dive independently to 18 meters. The course fee of 549 EUR encompasses all theoretical and pool sessions, the four open water dives, student learning materials, rental of main dive equipment, and the certification fee. A reduced price of 529 EUR per person is available for groups of two or more.

Participants must be at least 12 years old (or 10 if accompanied by a parent or guardian also enrolled in the course) and present a valid medical certificate prior to the first pool session. While main dive equipment is provided, students are required to possess their own ABC gear (mask, snorkel, neoprene socks, and open-heel fins) for personal hygiene and proper fit. Aquamarin Tauchservice offers a 10% discount on ABC equipment purchases at their shop. Course dates are scheduled throughout the year, with flexible options for weekday evenings and weekend sessions.
