Open Water Diver

The PADI Open Water Course at Nusa Penida Dive Center is your gateway to independent scuba diving, certifying you to explore depths of up to 18 meters. This foundational program, conducted with PADI, involves a structured approach combining knowledge development, confined water skill refinement, and four crucial open water dives. You will gain the confidence and competence to plan and execute dives safely, mastering essential skills like buoyancy control and underwater navigation using a compass. The course is typically completed over two days, offering an immersive experience in some of Nusa Penida's most celebrated dive sites.

Your practical training will take place at renowned locations such as Manta Point, Crystal Bay, and SD Point. These sites are chosen for their diverse underwater topography and vibrant marine life, providing an exceptional environment to practice your newly acquired skills. The waters around Nusa Penida offer a comfortable diving experience, with sea temperatures averaging around 29.6°C, making it pleasant to explore the rich biodiversity.
