Curso Open Water Diver

The Open Water Diver is the core certification at Plongéquilibre, and the one most students here work toward. Theory is done through SSI's e-learning platform, pool sessions take place at Villeneuve-la-Garenne, and the open-water dives are completed during one of the school's Mediterranean weekend trips — Bormes-les-Mimosas or Porquerolles — or another arranged sea session.

The certification allows autonomous diving to 18 m with a buddy and is recognised at dive centres internationally. Plongéquilibre has been certifying divers at this level for over 20 years, and the school's structure — pool work in Paris, sea work on organised trips — makes it accessible to anyone based in the region without access to the coast.
