Discover Scuba Diving

The Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) program at Delta Dive Club provides an accessible entry point into the underwater world, supervised by PADI professionals. This introductory experience is designed for individuals curious about breathing underwater and experiencing the sensation of weightlessness. The program typically spans 3.5 to 4 hours and includes a single dive in a controlled environment, often a swimming pool, ensuring a safe and comfortable first encounter with scuba equipment.

During this session, participants will learn essential scuba skills crucial for any diver. These include mastering the use of a buoyancy control device (BCD), practicing how to recover and clear a regulator underwater, learning to manage a flooded mask, and understanding how to breathe from a buddy's alternate air source. These fundamental techniques are taught to build confidence and competence in a supervised setting.

Upon successful completion of the Discover Scuba Diving experience, participants are awarded a commemorative brochure and a diploma, acknowledging their achievement. Importantly, the skills acquired and the experience gained can be credited towards the PADI Open Water Diver course if the decision is made to pursue full certification within a 12-month period. This makes the DSD an excellent first step for those considering a future in scuba diving.

Delta Dive Club focuses on making this initial dive both fun and educational, aiming to leave participants with a positive impression of diving and potentially spark a lifelong passion. The program is open to individuals aged 10 and above, provided they meet basic health requirements. It offers a unique opportunity to explore the aquatic realm and gain a new perspective on marine environments. The center offers instruction in Russian.
