Cursusbeschrijving
Embark on your technical diving journey with the PADI Tec 40 course at Scuba Legends, the introductory step beyond recreational limits. This program is meticulously designed as the first segment of the comprehensive PADI Tec Deep Diver curriculum, equipping you with essential knowledge, practical experience, and the foundational skills required for advanced technical diver training. Over four intensive days, you will engage in in-depth knowledge development sessions, practical assessments, and crucial open water dives. The curriculum covers the inherent risks and responsibilities of technical diving, the proper setup and utilization of specialized technical diving equipment, meticulous gas supply planning, understanding oxygen limits, and mastering decompression procedures. Participants will also gain insights into specialized team diving techniques and emergency protocols, preparing them for more complex dives.
Upon successful completion of the PADI Tec 40 course, you will be certified to plan and execute decompression dives, with a maximum of 10 minutes of total decompression time and to depths not exceeding 40 meters. This certification also permits the use of a single decompression cylinder with EANx50, a significant step in extending your dive capabilities. The course credits earned are directly applicable towards the subsequent PADI Tec 45 or Tec 50 courses, providing a clear pathway for continued technical diving education. Scuba Legends offers a "BASIC" option for this course at 750 EUR, with an enhanced "PREMIUM" option available for 1100 EUR, which notably includes the PADI Tec Sidemount Course.
The diving environment around Scuba Legends offers consistent conditions suitable for technical training. The sea temperature averages 20.2°C, providing a comfortable thermocline for extended bottom times and decompression stops. While specific monthly air temperatures fluctuate, the overall climate supports year-round diving opportunities, with lower rainfall noted in months like May (1 mm) and June (0.5 mm), ideal for maximizing open water training time. These conditions allow for focused skill development without the distraction of extreme weather, ensuring a productive learning experience.
To enroll in the PADI Tec 40 course, you must be at least 18 years old and possess a minimum of 30 logged dives, including specific requirements for enriched air and depth experience. Essential prerequisite certifications include PADI Advanced Open Water Diver, PADI Deep Diver, and PADI Enriched Air Nitrox Diver. A current medical fitness for diving is also mandatory. Scuba Legends, a PADI-certified dive center, ensures that all training adheres to the highest industry standards, providing a safe and structured learning environment. The center's commitment to diver education is reflected in its adherence to PADI's rigorous training protocols, ensuring you receive world-class technical diving instruction.
