Applicants need to be at least 18 years old and hold a PADI Rescue Diver certification or an equivalent qualification. Furthermore, current Emergency First Response (EFR) training completed within the last 24 months is mandatory. A medical statement signed by a physician within the preceding 12 months and a minimum of 40 logged dives are also required to begin the course.
