Cursusbeschrijving
Embark on your underwater adventure with the SSI Open Water Diver course at ScubaXP, your certified gateway to global diving recognition. This program is meticulously designed for you to learn at your own pace, ensuring a strong foundation in safety and enjoyment. The curriculum begins with flexible e-learning, allowing you to master theoretical concepts from home before progressing to practical sessions. ScubaXP emphasizes personalized training, offering instruction in small groups or even one-on-one sessions to build your confidence and underwater skills. The certification process includes theory, a workshop, an exam, six pool modules, and four essential open water dives, typically conducted in Ekeren by appointment, enabling you to dive with a buddy to a depth of 18 meters.
An exceptional feature of ScubaXP's Open Water Diver course is the standard inclusion of the Computer Diving specialty. This integration provides you with immediate, valuable knowledge on using dive computers, significantly enhancing your understanding and capability from your very first open water dives. It's a smart, efficient way to gain an additional specialty certification right at the start of your diving journey, setting you apart with advanced skills from day one.
ScubaXP offers a flexible approach to completing your certification. While learning in Belgium's local, cooler waters is recommended for a tailored experience in your preferred language, they also provide a referral option. The SSI Referral Diver program allows you to complete the theory and pool sessions locally, then finish your open water dives at your chosen holiday destination. This is an excellent choice for those planning upcoming travel and eager to dive in warmer climes.
The comprehensive price of 595 EUR for the SSI Open Water course at ScubaXP covers the use of dive equipment during all lessons and open water dives, full e-learning access, your official certification, and dive insurance. The only additional costs are a modest dive permit for Ekeren (15 EUR for one year) and any entry fees for indoor dive locations if utilized. While personal gear isn't mandatory for the course, acquiring your own mask and snorkel is advised for optimal comfort and fit during your training.
Learning in local waters, with average air temperatures ranging from 3.7°C in January to 19.7°C in August, prepares you for a wide spectrum of diving conditions. This hands-on experience in diverse environments builds resilience and a deeper appreciation for underwater ecosystems, even those not found in tropical regions. ScubaXP's commitment to small groups and dedicated guidance ensures a high-quality, rewarding, and enjoyable path to becoming a certified Open Water Diver.
