Advanced Open Water

The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course, offered by CIESUB, is your next step in expanding your underwater exploration capabilities. This program is meticulously designed to build upon your Open Water Diver certification, introducing you to new diving techniques and allowing you to venture to depths of up to 30 meters. You will gain confidence and proficiency in autonomous diving, focusing on safe practices and environmental awareness. The course structure includes five open water dives, each focusing on a different aspect of advanced diving.

During your training with CIESUB, you will refine essential skills such as underwater navigation and buoyancy control. A significant part of the course involves three elective specialty dives, which you can tailor to your interests. Options often include deep diving, wreck exploration, underwater photography, or drift diving, providing a diverse range of experiences. These practical sessions are conducted in environments that showcase the local marine life and underwater topography, allowing you to apply your new skills in real-world scenarios.

The waters around the dive center experience a wide range of temperatures throughout the year, from approximately 11.1°C in December to 21.5°C in August, according to available climate data. This variability means that depending on the month of your course, you might experience different conditions, from cooler dives requiring thicker wetsuits or drysuits to warmer dives suitable for thinner exposure protection. The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification is recognized globally, and CIESUB is a certified PADI dive center, ensuring the highest standards of training.

To enroll in the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course, you must hold a PADI Open Water Diver certification or an equivalent from another recognized agency. Participants will need to complete a medical questionnaire, and a physician's approval may be required depending on your health status. The minimum age for this certification is 12 years old. CIESUB provides a solid foundation for those looking to pursue further technical or specialized diving training, such as the PADI Rescue Diver course or various PADI Specialty courses.
