What people ask before booking
While diving is possible year-round, the period from January to April generally offers the best weather with good visibility, though it's also the busiest. From July to September, there are fewer divers, good weather, and very good diving conditions. Diving around full or new moons is recommended for stronger currents that attract more large marine life.
Addu Atoll is famous for its Manta Rays, which can be seen year-round at Manta Point. You can also encounter various sharks, including Tiger Sharks, Silvertip Sharks, and Gray Reef Sharks, especially at Sharkpoint. Other sightings include Eagle Rays, Dogtooth Tunas, turtles, and napoleons, along with abundant reef fish.
