To enroll in a PADI Open Water Diver course, you must be 16 years of age or older.

You need to have Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care (CPR and First Aid) training within the last 24 months. You can complete this training during the Rescue Diver course. Your instructor can also offer the PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider specialty course at the same time.

To enroll in a Tec 40 course, you must be a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver, have at least 10 dives using enriched air at depths greater than 18 meters, be a PADI Deep Diver or have at least 10 dives to 30 meters, be at least 18 years old, and have a Medical Statement signed by a physician within the last 12 months.
