Freedive Dahab

Freedive Dahab, located in Dahab, Egypt, is a pioneering freediving center established in 2003 by former freediving world record holder Lotta Ericson. Since 2010, it has operated as the world's first SSI Freediving Instructor Training Center, having certified thousands of freedivers of all levels and hundreds of instructors. The center is situated close to Lighthouse Bay, the heart of Dahab, where most of its courses take place. It boasts a large, comfortable air-conditioned classroom, a spacious equipment room, and a big outdoor terrace, ensuring ample space for large groups. Facilities include outdoor showers for summer and two indoor hot showers for winter, along with free Wi-Fi for guests. The center offers Instructor Development Courses, Freediving courses, and Snorkeling courses, as well as SSI Specialties, including the Instructor Training Program and the Master Program, geared towards intensive long-term training. They also organize Freediving Training Weeks and Combo Weeks, along with events upon request such as specialized private training, sled training (No-Limits and Variable Weight), national competitions, and record attempts.

Dahab, a former Bedouin fishing village on the southeast coast of the Sinai Peninsula, is globally renowned as an exceptional destination for windsurfing, scuba diving, freediving, and snorkeling. The center is conveniently located on El Fanar Street, a short walk from Lighthouse Bay. The nearby Blue Hole, a submarine sinkhole approximately 130 meters deep, is an ideal spot for deep freediving due to the protection offered by its surroundings from waves and currents, featuring flat surfaces and depths accessible from the shore. The center also provides accommodation, equipment rental, a dive shop, air fills (including nitrox), and night diving capabilities.
