The CLUB UNIVERSITARI DE BUCEO DE GRANADA (CUB), founded on February 3, 2014, is a non-profit private entity dedicated to the practice of diving and underwater activities. It is registered as a sports entity and as an Alumni Association of the University of Granada, with the objective of promoting diving and marine conservation.
The CUB Granada organizes recreational, scientific, and participatory dives, as well as training workshops on the marine and environmental world. Its commitment to scientific dissemination is noteworthy, leveraging the connection with the University of Granada to link the scientific and social worlds and raise awareness about planet protection. It also organizes trips to different dive sites, fostering recreation and group savings.
The social aspect is fundamental, especially through its "Accessible Sea" project for people with disabilities. The club actively collaborates with other associations and administrations on marine conservation and seabed cleanup projects, such as the Ecopuertos Project and the Equilibrio Marino crowdfunding, demonstrating its commitment to environmental protection.
The CUB Granada faciliteiten include lockers, WiFi, a bar, accommodation, duikuitrusting verhuur, a dive shop, air fills (nitrox), shore diving, and night diving. Certifications are SSI.
