The International Diving School, located in Hikkaduwa (LKA), offers a comprehensive range of diving courses certified by PADI, SSI, and CMAS/FFESSM. Catering to all levels of divers, from beginners with Discover Scuba Diving and Open Water Diver courses to advanced professionals undertaking Divemaster and Instructor Development Courses, the school also provides options for Technical Diving. Complementing their educational programs, they offer Snorkeling, Boat Diving, Night Diving, and Guided Dives for an immersive Sri Lankan underwater experience.
Facilities at the center are designed for diver convenience, including lockers, a bar for relaxation, accommodation for longer stays, and rental of diving equipment. The dive shop is well-equipped, and air fills, including nitrox, are available. The International Diving School operates seasonally, based in Hikkaduwa from October to April and relocating to Trincomalee from May to September, ensuring access to diverse and exciting dive sites throughout the year.

Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) is an introductory experience for beginners to try scuba diving under direct supervision, without earning a certification. The Open Water Diver course is a full certification program that allows you to dive independently with a buddy to a specified depth.
In Hikkaduwa, you can encounter barracudas, triggerfish, oriental sweetlips, bannerfish, moray eels, cuttlefish, lobsters, and seasonally, manta rays and whale sharks. Trincomalee offers sightings of blacktip reef sharks, sea turtles, moray eels, and various colorful fish, especially around Pigeon Island.
Our Hikkaduwa Dive Center operates from October to April, while our Trincomalee Dive Center is open from May to September.
The Discover Scuba Diving program includes an orientation session covering theory and safety, a practice session in shallow water to learn basic skills, and an open water dive under the close supervision of a qualified instructor. Equipment is provided.
