Blue Ocean Divers

Blue Ocean Divers, located in Lagos, Portugal, is an experienced dive center offering a wide range of diving courses and activities. Certified by both PADI and SSI, it provides courses from Divemaster to specialties such as Boat Diving, Night Diver, and Wreck Diver, alongside Snorkeling.

The center is equipped with various facilities for guest convenience, including lockers, accommodation at Vila da Luz, a swimming pool, rental of high-quality equipment, and air fills (including nitrox). Blue Ocean Divers facilitates both boat diving and shore diving, as well as night dives.

With a long-standing history since 1996, Blue Ocean Divers is dedicated to sharing its enthusiasm for the Atlantic Ocean. Water temperatures range between 14 and 22°C, requiring the use of 6mm neoprene wetsuits with hoods, booties, and gloves, with the option to add an ice vest for extra warmth. The center organizes dives to approximately 20 different dive sites, including the grottos of Sagres and the artificial wrecks off Portimão, with depths ranging from 12 to 30 meters. Visibility typically averages 5-15 meters, potentially reaching 20 meters on ideal days, and the marine life is abundant, featuring octopuses, cuttlefish, squid, scorpionfish, various crustaceans, eels, and numerous fish species. Nudibranchs and seahorses are particularly popular with macro photographers.

The team prioritizes safety and the best possible experience, adapting dive sites to sea conditions and aiming to avoid underwater crowds. They also offer kayak excursions along the rocky coastline to explore prime snorkeling spots, led by an experienced Divemaster. Accommodation is conveniently located at Vila da Luz Bay Club, with alternatives for all budgets happily provided by the center.
