Son Bou Scuba, ubicada en Menorca, España, es un centro de buceo PADI 5-Star Dive Resort con una larga trayectoria desde 2004. Situada estratégicamente en la costa sur de la isla, permite acceder a los mejores puntos de buceo, independientemente de la dirección del viento. La empresa familiar cuenta con más de 30 años de experiencia profesional y se dedica a ofrecer excursiones de buceo profesionales y seguras tanto para principiantes como para buceadores experimentados.
El centro ofrece una amplia gama de cursos, desde Discover Scuba Diving y Open Water Diver hasta Advanced Open Water, así como especialidades como Boat Diving y Night Diver. También imparten cursos PADI Cavern Diver, siendo especialistas en buceo en cuevas en Menorca. Las instalaciones incluyen WiFi, bar, alquiler de equipamiento, tienda de buceo y cargas de aire nitrox, además de la posibilidad de realizar buceo nocturno y en barco.
Son Bou Scuba se distingue por su atención personalizada, priorizando grupos reducidos con un máximo de 6 personas, a menudo menos, y cursos privados o semi-privados. Su equipo está formado por instructores profesionales y experimentados que hablan español, inglés, francés, alemán e italiano, garantizando una comunicación fluida. El equipamiento es de alta calidad, incluyendo equipo especializado para niños, y ofrecen servicio de recogida en Son Bou y alrededores. Con una visibilidad media de 30 metros y aguas cálidas a 28°C durante los meses de verano, Menorca ofrece condiciones ideales para la práctica del buceo, con impresionantes paisajes submarinos que incluyen cuevas y reservas marinas.
El centro organiza salidas diarias a lugares emblemáticos como Pont d’en Gil (inmersión en caverna), el pecio Malakoff (para buceadores avanzados), la Reserva Marina (costa norte), Swiss Cheese (ideal para principiantes) y Cap d’en Font (un punto destacado para buceadores de cuevas). Las excursiones de snorkel en barco a la reserva marina, de 2,5 horas de duración, incluyen equipo y una bebida refrescante. Para los más jóvenes, los Discover Scuba Diving se realizan desde la orilla en grupos reducidos (máximo 4 participantes por instructor) para garantizar la seguridad y el disfrute a partir de los 10 años.

PADI eLearning digital study material and certification are included in most PADI courses, with exceptions for Pro levels. For dives, tanks and weights are typically included. For courses, equipment rental is also usually included, but it's best to confirm specifics for each course.
Menorca offers excellent diving conditions with an average visibility of 30 meters and water temperatures reaching up to 28°C in the summer months. In cooler months like May, the water can be around 15°C, requiring thicker wetsuits or drysuits.
In Spain, a medical health certificate is generally not required since 2020. Divers can self-declare their fitness to dive by answering 'no' to questions on the medical form. If any question is answered 'yes', further instructions on the form must be followed.
Son Bou Scuba prioritizes small groups, aiming for no more than 6 people per dive group, often fewer. Courses are typically conducted privately or semi-privately to ensure maximum personal attention and safety.
You can rent various equipment items including regulators, BCDs, dive computers, wetsuits, and dive lights. A complete equipment rental package is available for €20 per dive, including a dive computer.
