What people ask before booking
The minimum age for PADI Seal Team, Bubblemaker, Scuba Diver, and Open Water Diver courses is 10 years. For Discover Scuba Diving, it is also 10 years. Children aged 10-14 receive Junior certifications and have specific depth and supervision requirements.
Participants must be able to complete a 10-minute swim/float without aids and a 200-meter continuous surface swim (or 300 meters with mask, fins, and snorkel). General good health is also required.
The PADI Open Water Diver course typically takes 3-4 days. The PADI Scuba Diver course takes 2 days, and the Discover Scuba Diving program takes 4-6 hours. eLearning can be completed beforehand to save time.
PADI Open Water Divers are certified to dive up to 18 meters (60 feet). PADI Scuba Divers can dive up to 12 meters (40 feet) under professional supervision. Children aged 10-11 have a maximum depth of 12 meters.
Inclusions typically cover classroom and pool training, open water dives, equipment rental, instructor fees, study materials, certification fees, boat charges, and refreshments on dive days. Specific inclusions may vary by course package.
Confined water sessions (pool) proceed regardless of weather. For open water dives, they use a freshwater inland quarry as a backup. If both boat and quarry dives are impossible, UNA issues a voucher valid for one year to complete the course.
