The Coral Tribe

The Coral Tribe is a dive center and marine conservation organization based in Koh Phangan, Surat Thani, Thailand. With over a decade of experience, they are dedicated to training divers and conducting marine conservation projects, employing a holistic approach to improving the health of our oceans and coral reefs.

Certified by SSI and TDI, The Coral Tribe offers a comprehensive range of recreational diving courses, from Discover Scuba Diving to Advanced Open Water Diver. Additionally, they provide specialized programs such as the Perfect Buoyancy course and Instructor Development Courses (IDC). For those interested in conservation, they offer Marine Conservation courses where participants learn about coral ecology, surveying methodologies, restoration techniques, and data gathering.

The center's facilities include a dive shop, equipment rental, air fills (nitrox), and the availability of shore diving and night diving. The Coral Tribe also offers marine conservation internship opportunities, ranging from one week to three months, involving participants in practical projects such as water quality testing, microplastic surveys, debris collection, and coral health monitoring.

Beyond training, the center is deeply involved in active conservation projects. They collaborate with various organizations to provide research data to scientists worldwide. Their research projects focus on different elements of the ocean, including water quality monitoring, microplastic surveys, beach and ocean clean-ups, coral restoration, invasive species control, and artificial reef creation. This extensive work contributes to understanding the impact of climate change and human activities on marine ecosystems.
