What people ask before booking
To register for the PADI Open Water Diver course, you must be at least 10 years old. For PADI eLearning, the minimum age is 13 due to international internet regulations.
You will use your entire basic dive gear, including an underwater compass. Depending on your chosen adventure dives, you might also try equipment for underwater photography, DPVs, a dive light, a drysuit, or other specialized gear. Rental options are available.
You need to be 12 years or older, hold a PADI Adventure Diver certification (or equivalent), and have completed an Emergency First Response (EFR) course (or equivalent) within the last two years.
Sport diving typically involves diving with air or enriched air (Nitrox) up to a maximum depth of 40 meters within the natural light zone. Technical diving expands these limits, potentially including dives deeper than 40m, extended dive times, the use of decompression tanks, various gas mixtures, and rebreathers, requiring more complex equipment and risk management.
The course price is €550,-. While the Tec Deep Diver Kit is used as learning material (currently only in English), WeGoDown provides accompanying German materials. Certification fees for the official dive license are additional.
