Unfortunately, we do not offer night or wreck dives. The logistics of launching and beaching boats in the dark make night diving impractical, and there are no wrecks available for diving in the area.

Visibility and currents are changeable and unpredictable, not strictly seasonal. Winter tends to have worse visibility (down to 5m), though 15m+ is possible. Water temperature is generally hotter (up to 28°C) from December to April and colder (down to 18°C) from June to October, but thermoclines can occur year-round. A 5mm wetsuit with a hood and rash vest is recommended.

If separated, look for 1 minute, then ascend. Inflate a surface marker buoy and signal the boat. We have the best safety record in Tofo and prioritize caution.

The nearest recompression chamber is located in Durban, over 1000km away. This distance underscores our commitment to extremely safe diving practices.

Yes, Tofo Scuba has a Nitrox compressor. Many divers take the Nitrox course during their stay. Nitrox is recommended for deep dives (18m+) in Tofo to maximize time on the reef.

We operate a strict no drinking before diving policy. Safety is paramount, and consuming alcohol before diving is prohibited.
