Sobre o Centro
CPAS, located in Lisboa, Portugal, is a non-profit association dedicated to underwater activities and scientific knowledge. Founded in 1953, it holds the distinctions of being an Entity of Public Utility since 1986 and an Environmental NGO since 1996. CPAS's mission encompasses promoting and teaching underwater exploration techniques, preserving submerged historical heritage, and advancing scientific understanding in fields such as archaeology, biology, ecology, and diving medicine.
This dive center offers a comprehensive range of SSI certified courses, including Enriched Air Nitrox and Technical Diving specialties, catering to various levels of recreational, technical, and scientific diving. Beyond diving, CPAS also provides training in recreational boating. For practical application and training, CPAS features a dedicated dive tank and associated classrooms.
CPAS boasts extensive facilities to support its diverse offerings. These include a museum showcasing underwater life across three distinct nuclei: Underwater Archaeology, Marine Biology, and Immersion Equipment. For diver development, a swimming pool and training rooms are available. Practical needs are met through equipment rental services and an air fill station capable of providing both air and up to Nitrox 70 fills, with a compressor offering dual filtration and a capacity up to 300 bars. Additionally, CPAS provides amenities such as lockers and a bar area for its members and visitors.
