The Lutterworth Sub-Aqua Club (LSAC), based in Lutterworth, GBR, is a family-friendly and active club for scuba diving and snorkelling. Annual membership for LSAC includes BSAC membership and LSAC membership. For a full member, the total annual cost is £191.00 (£71.00 for BSAC and 12x £10 for LSAC). Joint household membership is £172.00, and student/junior membership is £99.00. These costs can be spread out over the year via monthly standing orders.
The club has several sets of scuba diving and snorkelling equipment available for use during training or on trips. This includes masks, fins, snorkels, stab jackets (BCD), 12l cylinders, regulators, weight belts, and lead. However, personal items like a dry suit are often a member's own purchase.
LSAC organizes a variety of trips, including regular visits to inland dive sites like Stoney Cove, numerous trips along the UK coastline, and international excursions. Popular overseas destinations include the Red Sea, offering experiences with warm, clear water and abundant marine life.
Yes, LSAC offers a discounted membership rate for junior members aged 12 to 17 years. For junior members, a parent or legal guardian must also join, at least as a social member, and be present at all theory and practical training sessions and club trips. Proof of age is required for junior members.
The club meets on Wednesday evenings. Generally, they meet at The Shambles in Lutterworth from 19:00 for club nights and socials. For night dives, they also meet at Stoney Cove on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month from 17:30.
