Cursos Disponíveis
6 cursosBuceador 2 estrellas (FECDAS) / Advanced Diver (PADI)
The next step after Open Water, available here as either PADI Advanced Open Water or FECDAS 2 Estrellas. At 330€ it's priced below the entry course, which reflects that the theory component is smaller and the focus shifts to logged dives across different disciplines. On the Costa Brava, the natural terrain for advanced training includes wall dives, deeper reef sections and sites with variable visibility — all of which feature in the La Llosa de Palamós profile (10–30 m). Deeper dives to 30 meters are part of the PADI Advanced syllabus, and this site covers that range without needing to travel far from Platja d'Aro. The dual PADI/FECDAS structure at Divers Diving means you can continue on whichever certification track you started. If you trained at a PADI-only school before arriving here, the center can accommodate you; same for FECDAS holders. The course is delivered in Catalan, Spanish, English and French depending on the group. You need a valid Open Water or equivalent before starting. The price is 330€; check with the center for the number of dives and any equipment requirements included in that figure.
Divemaster PADI
The Divemaster is the first professional rating in the PADI system and the entry point to working in the dive industry. At 700€, Divers Diving offers the full programme from their base in Platja d'Aro on the Costa Brava. Divemaster training is demanding in a way that recreational courses aren't — you're learning to manage groups, assist instructors, lead certified divers and handle real operational logistics. On the Costa Brava, those logistics include reading sea conditions, working with boat schedules, and knowing the local sites well enough to guide others through them. La Llosa de Palamós, with its 10–30 m range and variable light conditions, is the kind of site where a DM candidate builds real competence. The programme requires you to already hold Rescue Diver and have Emergency First Response certification. You need a minimum number of logged dives as a prerequisite — check current PADI requirements and confirm with the center before enrolling, as the exact figure may depend on your existing log book. The center works in Catalan, Spanish, English and French, which gives DM candidates exposure to multilingual briefings and client interactions — a practical advantage if you plan to work in international dive destinations afterward.
EFER (Emergency First Response) PADI
The Emergency First Response course covers primary and secondary care — CPR, AED use, and basic first aid — in the context of diving emergencies and general situations. At Divers Diving it's priced on request and can be combined with the Rescue Diver course if you need both credentials at the same time. PADI requires EFR (or equivalent recognized first aid) as a prerequisite for Rescue Diver, so taking it here in Platja d'Aro before moving up the certification ladder is a practical option. The course doesn't require any diving ability — it's entirely surface-based, which also makes it suitable for non-divers or family members who want first aid training. The skills taught are directly applicable on a dive boat or at a beach entry point, where getting emergency services involved takes longer than it would in an urban setting. Knowing how to manage a panicking or unresponsive diver at the surface while the boat returns to shore is a scenario the course addresses directly. The center delivers the course in Catalan, Spanish, English and French. Contact them for current pricing and scheduling.
Curso Nitrox (PADI)
The PADI Enriched Air Nitrox course at Divers Diving lets certified divers extend their no-decompression limits by diving on oxygen-enriched mixes, typically 32% or 36% oxygen. Price is on request — contact the center directly for the current figure. On the Costa Brava, nitrox makes a practical difference at sites like La Llosa de Palamós where the interesting structure sits between 20 and 30 meters. More bottom time at depth without pushing into decompression territory means you get more out of each dive on a multi-dive day. The course is primarily theory and table/computer analysis rather than a large number of training dives. You'll learn to analyze mixes, set your dive computer correctly and understand the oxygen toxicity limits that come with enriched air. Divers Diving has nitrox fills available on site, so the practical side of the course flows directly into your next dive. Any PADI Open Water Diver or equivalent can enrol. The course is short enough to fit into a day, making it a realistic add-on during a diving holiday in Platja d'Aro.
Rescue Diver (PADI) / Buceador 3 Estrellas (FECDAS)
Rescue Diver is the course most experienced divers say changed how they see every subsequent dive. At 340€, Divers Diving runs it as both PADI Rescue Diver and FECDAS 3 Estrellas — the same dual-track approach they apply across the whole course ladder. The skills covered range from self-rescue and managing tired divers to more complex scenarios involving unconscious divers at the surface or underwater. On the Costa Brava, training scenarios can use real open-water conditions rather than a pool, which means current, reduced visibility and boat logistics are part of the context rather than abstractions. PADI typically requires Advanced Open Water and Emergency First Response (or equivalent first aid) before enrolling. EFER, the Emergency First Response course, is available separately at Divers Diving at a price on request, so it can be combined into the same training block if you need both. The course runs in Catalan, Spanish, English and French. This is the last recreational certification before Divemaster, and many instructors point to it as the most practically useful course in the PADI system — it changes your situational awareness on every dive you do after.
Open Water Diver
The entry-level certification at Divers Diving runs through both PADI Open Water Diver and the FECDAS 1 Estrella track in parallel, so you choose the card you want at enrolment. Classes are based in Platja d'Aro, on the Costa Brava, and the open-water dives take place in the Mediterranean — the same sea you'll keep diving in once you're certified. The PADI Open Water qualifies you to dive independently anywhere in the world to 18 meters with a buddy. The FECDAS equivalent is the standard credential within the Catalan and Spanish federation system, recognized across Europe and useful if you plan to join a local dive club. Holding both at once is an option many students take here given the dual-agency setup. La Llosa de Palamós, one of the center's main sites, starts at 10 meters — a realistic depth for open-water training dives with good visibility and diverse marine life. Seeing grouper, moray eels and nudibranchs during your first open-water checkout dives is a reasonable expectation here, not a marketing promise. The course is taught in Catalan, Spanish, English and French. Minimum age is 10 with parental consent, and you need basic swimming confidence rather than competitive ability. The price of 395€ covers the full course; contact the center for specifics on what materials and dives are included.

We issue certifications through both PADI and FECDAS. You can choose the track that suits you — PADI for an internationally portable card, or FECDAS if you want the Catalan federation credential.
From 10 years old, with parental or guardian permission. Note that PADI may set higher minimum ages for certain courses.
A guided dive is 38€ without equipment or 55€ with full gear. If you plan to dive regularly, a ten-dive bond brings the cost down to 330€ total (33€ per dive).
One of the main sites is La Llosa de Palamós — a wall and reef dive ranging from 10 to 30 meters, with visibility often above 20 meters and a good mix of Mediterranean species including grouper, moray eels, nudibranchs and crustaceans.
Basic swimming ability is enough. You need to feel comfortable and confident in the water, but you don't need to be a competitive swimmer.
Not automatically. Single-day insurance is available at 12€, and a full 2026 season insurance is 65€. We recommend taking at least the daily cover if you're not insured elsewhere.
Yes. Beach baptisms are 65€ and boat baptisms are 90€. The boat option takes you to offshore sites and gives a different first-dive experience.
Our team works in Catalan, Spanish, English and French. Most briefings and course materials can be delivered in whichever of those you prefer.
