Descrição do Curso
The Enriched Air Nitrox (EANx) specialty course at Unterwasserwerk is designed to significantly extend your bottom time, making it ideal for underwater photography or wreck exploration. This course focuses on the specific benefits and necessary preparations for using Nitrox over standard compressed air. You will learn the physics and physiology behind EANx, including crucial calculations for oxygen partial pressure (PO2), Equivalent Air Depth (EAD), and Maximum Operating Depth (MOD), with detailed tables provided for reference.
Understanding the risks associated with Nitrox, particularly Central Nervous System (CNS) oxygen toxicity, is a core component of this training. Unterwasserwerk's experienced instructors will guide you through managing these risks effectively, introducing you to new dive planning tables and computer models. The curriculum also addresses common misconceptions about Nitrox, clarifying uncertainties that have arisen with its increasing adoption in recreational diving. You will gain a thorough understanding of basic dive physics and physiology before focusing on the unique aspects of Nitrox diving.
This specialty training covers various methods for obtaining Nitrox fills, such as partial pressure blending, personal compressors, or cascade systems, discussing their respective advantages and disadvantages. Unterwasserwerk emphasizes the importance of specialized equipment standards for Nitrox diving, trusting quality brands like Scubapro for gas supply from Messer-Griesheim or Linde. The course also touches upon the legal and medical aspects relevant to diving with enriched air.
Upon successful completion of the Tauchen mit Nitrox course, you will be equipped to engage in more advanced and safer diving practices. This certification unlocks opportunities for longer bottom times on repetitive dives, enhancing your experience in activities like wreck penetration or detailed marine life observation. The skills learned are directly applicable to many advanced diving scenarios, allowing for more efficient dive profiles and increased enjoyment underwater. This specialty is a logical next step for divers looking to maximize their time exploring the underwater world.
