Apnea Total Advanced Freediver

The Advanced Freediver course at Freedive Boracay is a three-day certification program designed to significantly elevate your freediving capabilities. This course builds upon foundational knowledge, preparing participants for dives exceeding 30 meters and static breath-holds of over three minutes. You will explore sophisticated breathing and freediving techniques, pushing your limits and unlocking your true underwater potential. The program is structured with approximately 1.5 to 2 hours of theory followed by a similar duration of water session each day, totaling about 4 hours of daily instruction.

Day one focuses on static apnea, covering the mammalian dive reflex, specific breathing techniques, breath-hold exercises, and relaxation methods. In the water, emphasis is placed on body position, relaxation, maximum breath-hold attempts, and safety procedures within a controlled environment. Day two introduces 'Exhale Dives,' incorporating advanced breathing patterns like the 4-section technique and Negative Pressure Static Apnea (NPSA). You will learn the benefits and techniques of exhale diving and how your body adapts to increased pressure, with water sessions involving preparation with NPSA and dives up to 25 meters.

On day three, the curriculum shifts to deep diving. Theory sessions review exhale dives and cover stages, preparation, and visualization for deep dives, including lung capacity exercises and advanced equalization techniques. The open water session involves stretching and breathing exercises on the boat before attempting exhale dives up to 30 meters and full lung dives reaching depths of 40 meters. This progression is supported by PADI certification standards, ensuring a safe and structured learning experience.

This advanced course is ideal for those ready to refine their skills and explore greater depths, building upon their foundational freediving knowledge. A prerequisite for enrollment is the completion of the Freediver course or an equivalent certification from another recognized organization.
