Descrição do Curso

The Technical Diver course at Protec Sardinia is designed to significantly expand your diving capabilities, allowing you to explore depths between 30 and 51 meters. This foundational technical diving program utilizes air, various nitrox mixes, and decompression gases up to 100% oxygen. You will delve into advanced decompression theory and explore different approaches to nitrox and oxygen usage. The curriculum emphasizes advanced dive planning, incorporating PC-based decompression software and tables to ensure safe access to deeper underwater environments. This comprehensive training requires a minimum of 5 days, including 8 hours of theory and 5 dives, with a maximum depth limit of 51 meters (170 ft). The course adheres to IANTD standards for oxygen partial pressure and CNS/OTU tracking, with an instructor-to-student ratio capped at 4:1, ensuring personalized attention.

This technical program involves dives using three distinct gas mixtures, with decompression stops managed using 100% oxygen or a blend of 50% and higher percentages. A minimum score of 80% is required to achieve certification. If you choose to combine this course with Deep Air and Advanced Nitrox, the program extends to a minimum of 8 days and 10 dives, offering a more integrated technical diving progression. The training environment at Protec Sardinia is optimized for these advanced skills, providing a structured yet challenging learning experience.

Protec Sardinia offers this technical certification through IANTD, a recognized leader in technical diver training. The center is equipped to handle the specific demands of technical diving, including the use of double tank systems with lockable bridges and independent regulators. Divers will also train with stage decompression tanks for high-percentage oxygen and additional nitrox stages. Essential equipment for the course includes two wing sets or a drysuit for redundancy, a lift bag, appropriate dive suits, masks, fins, line cutters, a reel with line, and a dive computer, all crucial for managing complex dives.

To enroll in the Technical Diver course, divers must possess specific prerequisites, typically including advanced open water and deep diving certifications. The course mandates the use of specialized technical diving gear, such as a double tank setup, multiple regulators, and stage bottles for decompression gases. Protec Sardinia ensures that the training environment and equipment provided meet the rigorous standards required for technical diving. This course is a significant step for divers looking to push their limits and explore the underwater world beyond recreational depths.
