Descrição do Curso
The Junior Open Water Diver course at Tauchschule Mallorca provides a foundational diving certification specifically designed for younger adventurers aged 10 to 15. This program adheres to the rigorous standards of PADI, ensuring a safe and comprehensive introduction to the underwater world. Participants aged 10-11 will be certified to dive to a maximum depth of 12 meters, while those aged 12-15 can achieve a depth limit of 18 meters. The curriculum includes essential theoretical knowledge, hands-on skills development in controlled environments, and exhilarating open water dives. Upon reaching the age of 15, the Junior Open Water Diver certification automatically upgrades to the full Open Water Diver certification, unlocking further diving opportunities.
Mallorca's waters offer a fantastic training ground for new divers. The average sea temperature hovers around 19.4°C, making it comfortable for extended practice sessions. During the warmer months, such as July and August, air temperatures reach pleasant levels of 25.5°C and 26.6°C respectively, with minimal rainfall recorded at just 3.3mm in July. This favorable climate allows for consistent training throughout much of the year, providing ample opportunities to explore local reefs and marine life.
Tauchschule Mallorca is equipped to cater to an international clientele, offering instruction in multiple languages including German, English, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, and Russian. This multilingual approach ensures that students can fully grasp the concepts and safety procedures. The center's commitment to diver education is underscored by its affiliation with PADI, a globally recognized leader in recreational diving. While specific instructor-to-student ratios are not detailed, the focus remains on personalized attention to ensure each student's comfort and competence underwater.
This course includes all necessary theoretical materials and practical training sessions, covering both confined water and open water dives. Students will experience diving from a boat, gaining familiarity with entry and exit procedures in a real-world diving scenario. Upon successful completion, graduates will possess the skills and knowledge to explore the underwater world responsibly, under the supervision of a dive professional or with a certified buddy, within their certified depth limits. The transition to a full Open Water Diver certification at age 15 signifies the successful completion of their initial training and readiness for more advanced diving experiences.
