Descrição do Curso
The SSI Scuba Diver certification offered by Buceo Galicia provides a focused pathway for individuals with limited time who wish to experience open water diving. This program efficiently combines theoretical knowledge gained through online learning with practical skills developed in confined and open water environments. Upon successful completion, you will be certified to dive to a maximum depth of 12 meters under the direct supervision of an SSI professional. This certification represents a significant portion of the Open Water Diver training, making a seamless upgrade to the full Open Water Diver certification achievable by completing the remaining academic sessions, confined water drills, and two additional open water dives.
Buceo Galicia operates in a region where sea temperatures can vary significantly throughout the year. For instance, average sea temperatures hover around 15.6°C, with monthly air temperatures ranging from a cooler 10.5°C in December to a more pleasant 20.5°C in August. This climate data suggests that while some months offer warmer conditions, divers should be prepared for potentially cooler water temperatures, especially during the winter and spring months, making appropriate thermal protection a consideration for dives conducted outside of the warmest summer period.
The center is certified by multiple recognized agencies, including IDEA, PADI, and SSI, indicating a broad scope of training and adherence to high industry standards. Buceo Galicia caters to an international clientele, offering instruction and services in a variety of languages such as German, English, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, and Portuguese. This multilingual approach ensures that a diverse range of students can comfortably engage with the course material and receive clear guidance from instructors.
This Scuba Diver course is an excellent stepping stone for those new to the underwater world. It equips you with the fundamental skills and knowledge necessary for safe diving practices in controlled environments. The certification allows you to explore shallower dive sites and gain confidence under the guidance of experienced SSI professionals. It serves as a direct precursor to the Open Water Diver certification, unlocking the possibility to explore deeper and more diverse underwater locations as your skills and comfort level grow.
