Deep Diver

The PADI Deep Diver specialty course at Divers Cove, a PADI 5-Star IDC Training Center, is your gateway to exploring South Florida's most captivating underwater landscapes, typically reaching depths of 130 feet (40 meters). This certification is essential for accessing many of the region's impressive wrecks and deeper reef structures, often accessible only by boat. Divers Cove provides the critical knowledge and practical skills needed to navigate these deeper environments safely.

This specialty delves into the physiological effects of deep diving, including nitrogen narcosis and oxygen toxicity, which are paramount considerations at depth. You will learn essential procedures for planning deep dives, mastering gas supply management, and understanding the risks associated with decompression sickness. The curriculum also highlights the importance of specialized equipment and techniques, such as dive computers and appropriate gas mixes, for deep diving operations.

The course structure combines theoretical learning, often facilitated through PADI eLearning, with hands-on open water dives. Under the direct supervision of an experienced PADI instructor, you will practice deep diving techniques.
