Advanced Open Water

The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course at Koh Chang Divers is your next step to expanding your underwater capabilities, building directly on your Open Water certification. This program includes five specialized adventure dives designed to introduce you to new diving environments and techniques. You'll complete mandatory Deep Diving and Underwater Navigation dives, pushing your depth limit to 30 meters (100 feet), alongside three additional dives chosen from options like wreck, drift, or night diving, tailored to your interests and local conditions.

Koh Chang Divers enhances this experience by including an extra fun dive at no additional cost, providing rental gear, and a dive computer for your use. The practical portion spans two days of diving, utilizing the excellent local dive sites around Koh Chang. Transport along the west coast of the island is also covered, ensuring a convenient and focused learning experience. The course requires approximately 5+ hours of PADI eLearning, which can be completed before your arrival, allowing you to maximize your time in the water.

This certification is a crucial stepping stone, opening doors to more challenging dive sites and advanced training, including the PADI Rescue Diver course. You will gain confidence and refine your scuba skills under the direct supervision of an experienced instructor. Koh Chang Divers leverages its proximity to sites like the HTMS Chang wreck and vibrant coral reefs, offering hands-on experience in diverse underwater settings. This practical application is key to developing the advanced understanding of diving physics, physiology, and techniques necessary for deeper and more complex dives.
