Deep Diving

The Deep Diving specialty course at Kohtao Divers provides the necessary skills and knowledge for safe exploration between 18 and 40 meters. This certification, offered through PADI, SSI, IDEA, or TDI, typically involves a minimum of two open water dives. You will learn about dive planning, gas management, and recognizing and managing nitrogen narcosis and decompression sickness. The course focuses on the practical aspects of deep diving, preparing you for the unique challenges and rewards of exploring deeper reefs, pinnacles, and wrecks.

Kohtao Divers operates in an area known for its consistent visibility, often exceeding 20 meters, and water temperatures that remain pleasant year-round, typically between 28-30°C. This makes the dive sites accessible for deep exploration without the need for extreme thermal protection. The local marine environment offers diverse underwater topography, including significant coral formations and occasional deeper structures that are ideal for practicing deep diving techniques. The center conducts its practical sessions at sites specifically chosen for their suitability for deep dives, ensuring a controlled and informative learning environment.
