SSI Hypoxic Trimix
Oferecido por National Dive Center
Kyiv
Descrição do Curso
The SSI Hypoxic Trimix certification represents the zenith of technical diving, equipping certified divers with the knowledge and skills to explore depths exceeding 60 meters. This advanced SSI technical program, offered by NDC, focuses on the complex physiological challenges encountered at extreme depths, including the management of oxygen toxicity and the effects of helium in breathing gas mixtures. Participants will master sophisticated dive planning, gas blending techniques, and intricate decompression protocols, preparing them for the most demanding underwater environments.
This rigorous course is designed for seasoned technical divers who aim to push the boundaries of underwater exploration. The curriculum delves into the critical aspects of managing hypoxic trimix, a breathing gas blend containing less than 21% oxygen, which is essential for dives beyond 60 meters to mitigate the risks of oxygen toxicity. Understanding the properties of helium, its effects on the central nervous system, and its role in reducing gas density at depth are core components of the training.
Participants will learn to conduct thorough pre-dive planning, including calculating optimal gas mixes for each phase of the dive, bottom gas, travel gases, and decompression gases. This involves a deep understanding of gas laws, metabolic rates, and environmental factors. The course emphasizes meticulous execution of complex decompression schedules, utilizing multiple stages and specialized gases to ensure a safe ascent from extreme depths. The training provided by NDC ensures divers are proficient in managing potential contingencies and emergencies that may arise during such challenging dives.
As the pinnacle of technical diving, the SSI Hypoxic Trimix certification unlocks access to some of the world's most remote and challenging dive sites. Divers completing this program will be qualified to undertake expeditions to deep shipwrecks, explore submerged geological formations, and contribute to scientific research in environments previously inaccessible. This certification is a testament to a diver's dedication to mastering the most advanced techniques and safety protocols in technical diving, signifying a high level of competence and commitment to the sport.
