Advanced Open Water

Elevate your diving skills with the Advanced Open Water Diver course, the logical next step after your initial certification. This program, offered by Vive Buceo, is designed to expand your underwater capabilities and introduce you to a wider range of diving environments. You will gain the confidence and experience to safely explore deeper sites, reaching depths of up to 30 meters. This increased depth limit opens up a multitude of previously inaccessible dive locations.

The curriculum includes five specialized adventure dives, each focusing on a different aspect of advanced diving. A mandatory deep dive will teach you about the physiological effects of increased pressure and how to manage them, while the underwater navigation dive hones your essential orientation skills. The remaining three dives are elective, allowing you to tailor the course to your personal interests. Options typically include wreck exploration, night diving, drift diving, or underwater photography, providing a personalized learning path.

This course emphasizes practical application and building confidence in various diving scenarios. Under the expert guidance of your instructor, you will learn new techniques for dive planning and execution, significantly enhancing your comfort and competence in the water. The waters around the center offer a consistent sea temperature of approximately 18.6°C, making it suitable for diving throughout much of the year. While specific monthly air temperatures vary, the average sea temperature provides a stable environment for practicing advanced skills. The course is conducted with PADI and PSS certifications, recognized globally for their high standards in diver training.
