ADVANCED ADVENTURER

The Advanced Adventurer course at Ocean Dreams covers five specialty introductions of your choice — the centre offers a range of specialisations and the specific options available can be confirmed on request. The course price of €255 is listed without dives, so dive costs are additional depending on which specialties you select.

The point of this course is breadth: rather than going deep into one area, you get a proper introduction to five different directions you could take your diving. If you choose the deep specialisation, you gain the right to dive to 30 m — up from the 18 m limit at Open Water Diver level.

At Ocean Dreams, several of their six named dive sites go to 35 m, which becomes accessible once you've completed the relevant specialties and achieved the Advanced Open Water certification through this track. Palm-Mar Cave, Abades, and Tabaiba all require at least AOWD level.

The format also gives you a practical way to explore technical diving introductions — Navigation, Deep, Cavern — before committing to the full XR technical track, several of which list these specialties as prerequisites for entry.
