Gas Blender

The Gas Blender course teaches safe preparation of nitrox mixtures for both recreational and technical diving. Ocean Dreams offers it as part of their technical programme, which makes sense given that nitrox is a prerequisite input for multiple levels of the XR track.

Entry requires Enriched Air Nitrox Diver certification and a minimum age of 18. The course covers mixing procedures and safety protocols for producing nitrox blends in a centre environment — the same type of gas management Ocean Dreams uses operationally for their nitrox fills (offered on site at €1.30 per litre, 22–34%).

This is a niche qualification that has practical value for anyone working in or aspiring to work in a dive centre, or for technical divers who want to understand the gas they're breathing. Price is on request.
