Descrição do Curso
Embark on an underwater adventure with the Wreck Diver Specialty course offered by Go Dive Pacific in Port Gore. This course is designed for certified divers aged 15 and above, holding at least an Adventure Diver certification, to explore the historical and fascinating world of sunken vessels. You will gain the skills and knowledge to safely survey, map, and explore wrecks, understanding the importance of respecting their historical and cultural significance. Go Dive Pacific focuses on responsible wreck diving practices throughout the training, ensuring a safe and enriching experience.
The curriculum covers essential safety considerations for wreck exploration, including guidelines for research and respecting the historical context of wrecks. Participants will learn how to use penetration lines and reels for guided exploration within the 'light zone' and employ techniques to avoid disturbing the wreck and its marine inhabitants. This specialty differs from more advanced penetration courses by focusing on limited penetration, making it an ideal introduction to the discipline. Upon completion, you will be well-prepared to explore various wrecks worldwide with increased confidence.
Go Dive Pacific provides a comprehensive package for this specialty, including two nights' accommodation and meals at their dive lodge in Port Gore. The course utilizes E-Learning materials for flexible study, complemented by practical training. The four dives are conducted over two days on the renowned Mikhail Lermontov wreck, offering an exceptional site to hone your wreck diving skills. Cylinders and weights are included in the package, allowing you to focus on learning and exploration.
This specialty is offered as either a 2-dive non-penetration option or a 4-dive penetration course, referred to as advanced wreck diving by some agencies. The focus here is on limited penetration within the 'light zone,' adhering to specific safety protocols. The training emphasizes techniques for navigating overhead environments safely and understanding the unique challenges and rewards of wreck diving. Go Dive Pacific, a PADI, SDI, and TDI certified facility, ensures high standards of training and safety for all its specialty courses.
