The SSI Advanced Freediver course is designed for those who have mastered the basics and are ready to explore depths between 20 and 30 meters. Building on foundational knowledge, this program focuses on refining your technique, enhancing breath-hold capabilities, and safely experiencing the sensation of freefall. You will engage in advanced theoretical sessions covering freediving physiology, training methodologies, and crucial safety protocols. Practical training includes static and dynamic apnea in the pool, alongside three significant open-water sessions in the sea, specifically targeting the 20-30 meter depth range. The course culminates in an internationally recognized SSI Advanced Freediver certification, validating your new skills and depth progression. The waters where these advanced techniques are practiced offer a consistent average sea temperature of 19.7°C, providing a comfortable environment for extended training sessions. While specific monthly temperatures vary, with averages ranging from 11.7°C in December to 27.3°C in August, the focus remains on adapting to conditions and mastering equalization techniques. The curriculum emphasizes advanced safety procedures, including specific exercises for apnea rescue, ensuring that all participants develop a strong understanding of risk management and buddy procedures at greater depths. This advanced freediving program requires participants to be at least 15 years old and hold a prior certification, such as SSI Freediver or an equivalent qualification, demonstrating a solid understanding of fundamental freediving principles.
