Descrição do Curso
The Science of Diving specialty course at SieteMares offers a deep dive into the theoretical underpinnings of underwater exploration. This program is designed to equip divers with a robust understanding of the physical and physiological principles that govern our interactions with the marine environment. You will explore topics ranging from dive physics, including gas laws and pressure effects, to human physiology and how it adapts to the underwater world. The curriculum also touches upon underwater pharmacology and environmental science, providing a holistic view of diving.
This specialty is particularly valuable for those aspiring to professional diving roles, as it forms a significant component of the theoretical knowledge base required. It also appeals to recreational divers eager to move beyond basic skills and gain a more profound appreciation for the science behind their passion. By completing this course, you will be better prepared to understand and articulate the phenomena encountered during dives, enhancing both your safety and your overall enjoyment of the underwater realm. SieteMares focuses on building this solid scientific foundation.
While specific dive sites for this theoretical course are not applicable, the knowledge gained is universally relevant to all diving locations. The climate data for the region shows a sea temperature averaging around 19.7°C, with monthly air temperatures fluctuating between 11.5°C in December and 26.6°C in August. This variability suggests that understanding the physiological impacts of different water temperatures, as taught in this course, is highly practical for divers operating in this area throughout the year.
SieteMares supports its educational offerings with a commitment to diver development. The center is certified by PADI and SSI, two of the most recognized agencies in the diving industry, ensuring that the training meets high international standards. While specific details on instructor-to-student ratios or dedicated dive boats for this theoretical course are not provided, the dual certification suggests a comprehensive approach to diver education. The center's multilingual capabilities, indicated by the availability of Spanish, further enhance accessibility for a diverse range of students seeking to deepen their scientific diving knowledge.
