Advanced Open Water

The PADI Advanced Open Water Course at Copperband Scuba in Koh Tao is designed to build upon your existing diving skills and confidence. This program includes five adventure dives, focusing on practical applications of advanced techniques. You will explore depths up to 30 meters, a significant increase from Open Water certification, allowing access to more diverse dive sites. Specific dives often include wreck exploration, such as the HTMS Khram, and underwater navigation, enhancing your ability to orient yourself in various conditions. The course is conducted under the PADI certification system, ensuring globally recognized standards. Copperband Scuba is also certified by RAID and SSI, offering flexibility in your training pathway.

Koh Tao offers excellent conditions for advanced diving, with water temperatures generally remaining warm throughout the year, typically between 28-30°C. Visibility can vary but is often excellent, frequently exceeding 20 meters, which is ideal for practicing navigation and observing marine life. The underwater topography around Koh Tao includes vibrant coral reefs, rocky outcrops, and several notable shipwrecks, providing a rich environment for the course's adventure dives. You can expect to encounter a variety of marine species, from small reef fish to larger pelagics, depending on the specific dive sites visited during your PADI Advanced Open Water Course.
