Emergency First Response + DAN

The Emergency First Response course at Buceo Pichicuy is delivered in combination with DAN certifications, making it one of the more complete first aid packages available at a recreational dive center. No prior experience is required — the course is designed for non-professional responders and focuses on building confidence in stress-free, step-by-step emergency care.

The course covers primary and secondary care (CPR and first aid), which also satisfies the EFR prerequisite for the PADI Rescue Diver course and all PADI professional-level training. DAN's Soporte Vital Básico, Evaluación Neurológica, and Lesiones por Vida Marina Peligrosa modules are bundled depending on the package chosen.

Pricing: the standard EFR + DAN package runs CLP $80,000. The full DEMP (Diving Emergency Management Provider) package, which adds four DAN specialty modules, is CLP $140,000. Adding the PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider specialty alongside this course provides an additional certification that counts toward the Master Scuba Diver rating.

The course has no prerequisites and no experience requirements — it's genuinely open to anyone, diver or not.
