Open Water Diver

The SSI Open Water Diver course at ChrisDiving is your official passport to the underwater world, providing the certification needed to dive independently with a buddy anywhere globally, up to a depth of 18 meters. This comprehensive program, typically completed in about 3 days, integrates e-learning, pool sessions, and four exciting open water dives. The e-learning component allows for flexible study of theory at your own pace, either before or during your course, maximizing your time in Costa Rica.

During the pool sessions, you will master essential scuba skills in a safe, controlled environment, crucial for ensuring comfort and safety underwater. Following this foundational training, you'll embark on four incredible ocean dives. These dives are designed to apply your newly acquired skills in real diving conditions, offering a chance to explore the vibrant marine life and unique underwater landscapes that Costa Rica presents. The sea temperature averages around 31.1°C, making for comfortable diving conditions throughout the year.

ChrisDiving's experienced SSI instructors guide you through every step, ensuring a thorough understanding and confident application of diving techniques.
