Descrição do Curso

The Level 4 certification represents the highest tier of recreational diving leadership within the ANMP/FFESSM framework, meticulously preparing you to guide and supervise other divers. This advanced course is accessible to individuals aged 18 and above, provided they hold a Level 3 certification. At Leucate Plongée, your training will encompass the theoretical, technical, and physical proficiencies necessary to lead Level 1 divers to depths of 20 meters and Level 2 divers to 40 meters.

This qualification is indispensable for anyone aspiring to become a professional dive leader or instructor. The curriculum emphasizes advanced navigation techniques, comprehensive dive management, robust rescue strategies, and effective communication skills. The program is designed to cultivate a profound sense of responsibility and a high level of competence in safely guiding fellow divers. Leucate Plongée offers two distinct pathways for Level 4 training: a focused, week-long final stage with examination for those already possessing technical and theoretical preparation, priced at €720, or a more extensive program that includes a preparatory week followed by the final stage and exam for €1100.

Exam sessions are strategically scheduled across June and September/October 2026, offering flexibility for candidates. To participate, a medical certificate from a hyperbaric, sports, or federal physician is mandatory. This certification serves as a critical prerequisite for entry into State-certified professional diving instructor programs (DEJEPS) and other federal instructor training pathways, signifying a mastery of diving expertise and leadership capabilities. The center is certified by CMAS and FFESSM, underscoring its commitment to high training standards.

While specific dive site details are not provided, the climate data for Leucate suggests optimal diving conditions during the summer months. For instance, June sees air temperatures around 21.6°C, with sea temperatures likely to be pleasant, and July and August offer peak warmth with air temperatures reaching 24.9°C and 26.1°C respectively, accompanied by minimal rainfall (9.9mm in July). This favorable weather window, particularly from June to September, provides an excellent environment for the practical aspects of the Level 4 course, allowing participants to focus on skill development and leadership under comfortable conditions. The average sea temperature peaks around 18.2°C, indicating a generally temperate aquatic environment throughout much of the year.
